  • Review the Substitute Handbook.

Becoming a Substitute

EdJobsNW has posted substitute positions for the 2018–19 school year. Applicants will receive an email explaining next steps after they submit an application.

Substitute pay varies by school district and position.

Check the job posting for specific pay rates.

Substitute positions are not eligible for benefits, with the exception of sick leave.

Substitutes earn one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked within the same district. They may earn sick leave for each district in which they work.
